August 22 Scarf Marbling Workshop
Saturday, August 22 at 3:00-6:00
At "For the Love of Flowers Farm"
12114 W 5 Mile Rd
Franksville, WI 53126
Our farm is located in Racine County – just 3 miles south of Milwaukee County and west of I-94.
Join us for a hands-on workshop exploring the art of Ebru, the traditional Turkish practice of marbling on water. Guided by artist Vesile Yilmaz, participants will create a one-of-a-kind 74"x12" silk square scarf silk rectangle scarf by floating color across the water’s surface and transferring the design onto silk.
Known for its flowing patterns, vibrant movement, and beautiful element of surprise, Ebru creates artwork that is truly unique every time. Along the way, you’ll learn about the rich history of this centuries-old art form while experiencing its calming, meditative creative process firsthand.
Set against peaceful flower field views and the quiet beauty of the farm, this workshop offers a chance to slow down, unwind, and immerse yourself in creativity. Let the serenity of the flower farm inspire you as you design your own wearable work of art to remember your tranquil time here at the flower farm. Not only will you find a sense of calm, you’ll head to our gorgeous you-pick flower field and harvest your very own you-pick bouquet to bring the beauty of the farm indoors.
No experience is necessary and all materials are provided. Come ready to relax, create and enjoy and entirely lovely afternoon.
We understand plans can change. Cancellations made two weeks or more prior to the event will receive a full refund. Due to the preparation involved, cancellations made within two weeks of the event are non-refundable. In the event of inclement weather, we will gladly reschedule the workshop or issue farm credit for a future event or flowers.
